In 1989 my very first hovawart arrived here from Germany. Her name was "Eule von der Fischerklause" and I named her "Maedchen" which is german for 'little girl'.
She was a blond large boned girl with excellent pigment and great working propensity. Independent and confident, but yet so very attentive for everything I tried to teach her.
Soon I called her my "Super puppy".
Very sadly she died at 5 month of age on New Years Day 1990. I cried for weeks and still think about her a lot.
She was very special.
